Job summary

Powertica Commodities UK Ltd is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team in a hands-on role blending engineering with analysis. You will build pipelines, tooling and models to support analysts and traders, collaborating across the UK and Europe with a small, agile team.

You will own data quality, deploy code with Docker and Azure, and work with Airflow for orchestration, contributing from exploratory work to production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of commercial experience in analytics engineering or related technical role.
• Proven experience using Python data stack in academic or commercial settings.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (Postgres or comparable).
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud storage (Azure).
• Orchestration of pipelines and models (Airflow or comparable).
• Containerisation and deployment of workloads (Docker).
• Ability to learn quickly and work across domains.
• Version control and CI/CD tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion, processing and modelling pipelines (Airflow).
• Support analysis and model development from exploration to production.
• Deploy prototype and production code using Docker and Azure.
• Prototype decision support tools and prototype proofs of concept.
• Own data quality, monitoring and documentation for datasets used by desks.
• Collaborate with analysts, traders and other stakeholders; influence tooling with ideas.
