Job summary

Prolific is hiring an Analytics Engineer to shape and scale our data stack. You will own analytics code, semantic layer, and data pipelines, enabling reliable BI and AI-driven insights across the business.

You’ll drive non-deterministic transformations with LLM-powered steps and design agentic workflows with strong guardrails. You’ll collaborate across product, engineering and analytics teams, ensuring data accuracy, robust testing, and clear documentation for stakeholders while mentoring others

Qualifications

• Expertise with dbt and SQL to design, build and maintain scalable data models.
• Experience defining metrics, entities, and business logic in a semantic layer.
• Hands-on use of LLMs in data workflows and evaluation of outputs.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants and agent tooling, with guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Build complex dbt models, custom macros, and reusable packages.
• Maintain semantic layer with metrics, dimensions and descriptions for NLP queries.
• Productionise LLM-powered steps in pipelines with evaluation and monitoring.
• Design agentic workflows across analytics lifecycle with guardrails and reviews.
• Monitor and maintain dbt workflow jobs and data models powering BI analytics.
• Write tests and assertions to ensure data integrity across models.
• Document dbt processes and semantic definitions as metadata assets.
• Translate complex data concepts into business terms for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior analysts and data engineers in AI tooling and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and BI teams to support evolving needs.
