Job summary

Liberis is building an embedded finance platform with a growing Product & Engineering team. As an Analytics Engineer, you will design and own the data transformation layer, turning raw data into reliable analytics assets.

You’ll build data models and metrics powering dashboards and business decisions, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. You’ll also leverage AI tools to accelerate development, while ensuring proper review, testing, and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on analytics engineering or data engineering experience with dbt in production.
• Strong SQL with window functions, CTEs, and complex joins.
• Dimensional modeling experience and data modeling knowledge.
• Shipped data models used by real stakeholders in production.
• Git proficiency and experience with CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Design & build dbt models with a clear layering and data modelling approach.
• Own data model quality through comprehensive testing.
• Build semantic layers (LookML, dbt Semantic Model, or equivalent) for self-serve analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models.
• Use AI tools to accelerate SQL/dbt writing, generate tests, and automate tasks.
• Review peers' designs for pattern, testing, and architecture quality.
• Evolve models based on user feedback and handle schema changes gracefully.
• Automate analytical work for stakeholders using lightweight Python/SQL workflows.
