Job summary

Oscar, a leading global private equity firm, is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join its data function in London. You will work across data engineering, transformation, modelling and analytics to build reliable, scalable data solutions for complex investment data.

You will bring strong Microsoft Fabric experience, solid SQL and Power BI skills, and a background in private equity. This hands-on role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and a modern data technology stack.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer.
• Experience in Private Equity sector.
• Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
• Power BI data modelling and reporting experience.
• Experience with Azure data services.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and transformation processes using Microsoft Fabric.
• Work across data ingestion, transformation, modelling and analytics.
• Develop robust and reusable data models to support reporting and analytical requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate these into technical solutions.

I'm currently working with a leading global private equity firm that is looking to hire an experienced Analytics Engineer to join its data function.

The organisation manages a significant portfolio of investments across multiple sectors and operates across the US and Europe, providing the opportunity to work within a sophisticated investment environment where data and analytics play an important role in supporting decision-making.

This is a hands‑on Analytics Engineering opportunity, with Microsoft Fabric being a key part of the technology environment. You'll work across data engineering, transformation, modelling and analytics, helping to build reliable and scalable data solutions within a complex investment environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with modern data platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric, combined with previous experience working within the Private Equity sector.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or similar.
• Previous experience within Private Equity
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong SQL and data transformation experience.
• Strong Power BI experience, including data modelling and reporting.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Experience building data pipelines and working with modern data plaforms.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and analytics engineering principles.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Strong understanding of data quality, testing and governance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
