The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the design, development and support of reusable analytical data products, models and curated datasets.

You will work across business users, analysts, data scientists and data engineers to translate business needs into trusted, secure and maintainable data assets that support reporting, analysis and decision-making across MCA.

• Experience designing and building reusable data models and transformation pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, review, test, deploy and maintain secure analytical data products, curated datasets, transformation pipelines and complex analytical data models.
• Identify opportunities to reuse existing data products, datasets, models and transformation components before developing new solutions.
• Profile source systems, analyse data structures and translate business processes, rules and user needs into reusable data designs.
• Ensure analytical products meet agreed quality standards and are tested, version-controlled, documented and deployed in line with MCA standards.
• Build effective relationships with the wider data team, subject matter experts and senior stakeholders, explaining technical issues clearly.

Within Finance and Analysis, the Data Engineering function develops analytical data products that enable reporting, analysis and decision-making across MCA.
