Analytical Technology Transfer Scientist

This is a fulltime, permanent position working a 36.5 hour week, Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30. This role is homebased within the UK but we would consider overseas applicants.

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and innovative Scientist. This is a new and exciting opportunity based at our client’s facility, a world class Pharmaceutical company based in Macclesfield. We have an opportunity for an experienced Analytical Scientist with experience of drug product analytical development in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • The role will involve being the responsible point of contact for a major commercial product or group of products related to the analytical testing subject matter area.
  • Using your expertise in Analytical Chemistry you will support the clients manufacturing sites and CMOs to ensure performance, robustness and compliance of OSD products and related analytical methods.
  • You will support major changes and market access projects in collaboration with multiple functions (External Sourcing and Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing).
  • Transfer of commercial analytical methods to multiple locations and may involve international travel as part of the role.
  • Potential support in practical analytical activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree, Master degree or PhD level with experience post degree in an appropriate discipline such as Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or similar discipline.
  • Good understanding of OSD, Inhalation and Parenteral drug products life-cycle from late stage development to launch and through the commercial life cycle.
  • Good knowledge of analytical methods establishment, optimisation and transfer for release and stability testing.
  • Understanding of a broad range of Analytical techniques (standard and non-standard).
  • Good experience on issue investigation and change assessment from analytical point of view. Good knowledge of standard tools for root cause analysis.
  • A thorough understanding of principles, applications and management of SHE and cGMP.
  • Good communication and leadership with demonstration of being able to work across different functions.
  • Experience in or exposure to multiple disciplines in CMC and related functions (e.g. Product Development, Product Manufacturing and testing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory) would be desirable.
  • Previous experience and training in Lean methodologies would also be desirable.
