Job Title: Analytical Scientist - Synergy

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000

Synergy is currently working with a client looking for an Analytical Scientist to join their team. The client organization is based in Sandwich, Kent.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience in instrumental methods within a pharmaceutical environment and a hands-on approach to their development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out analytical activities to support the development and commercialization of new respiratory and other medicinal products.
  2. Execute experiments to develop scientific understanding in analytical and materials science methods, including formulation development.
  3. Perform analyses related to product development, stability, and process scale-up.
  4. Process data, identify aberrant results, and collaborate with supervisors on investigations.
  5. Maintain laboratory documentation in accordance with data integrity and good documentation practices.
  6. Contribute to project delivery and perform additional tasks such as housekeeping, ordering, and shipping samples.
  7. Adhere to policies and procedures related to EHS, GMP, GCP, Quality, and Compliance.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Forensics, or equivalent, or substantial practical experience.
  2. Experience with HPLC / UPLC.
  3. Ability to organize tasks, plan work, and achieve high-quality results.
  4. Collaborative team player.
  5. Foundational knowledge of chemistry principles.
  6. Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
