Job summary

Broughton Group in Earby, Lancashire, is seeking an experienced Scientist to join the Laboratory Operations team at Oak Tree House. The role focuses on performing analytical testing on client products, ensuring data accuracy, and meeting project timelines.

Applicants should have at least two years of industrial laboratory experience, a Chemistry degree or equivalent, and familiarity with HPLC, LC-MS, GC-FID/GC-MS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' laboratory experience within an industrial setting.
• Degree in Chemistry or related discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Experience with analytical laboratory techniques and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out chemical analysis on client products to agreed quality standards.
• Perform analytical testing according to approved methods and study protocols.
• Prepare reagents, samples and standards for analysis.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, CETI-8).
• Record and review data accurately and timely; ensure GMP/UKAS/ISO compliance.
