Job summary

Qualifications

• BSc degree in biological sciences is required.
• Experience in a laboratory-based analytical role.
• Familiar with UV-Vis, ELISA, HPLC, Karl Fischer and DLS techniques.
• Knowledge of QC environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine biochemical and physical analyses per SOPs.
• Record, peer-review and ensure data traceability.
• Prepare data for meetings and support method optimisation.
• Deliver analytical protocols and reports with GMP-aligned standards.

Job description

We are currently looking for an Analytical Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company, based in the Oxford area. As an Analytical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in routine biochemical and physical analysis on test samples across all projects and stages of solid dose development.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine biochemical and physical analysis on test samples in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Accurately record and peer review analysis to ensure data quality and traceability.
• Compile and present data in relevant meetings, supporting test method optimisation and verification.
• Deliver comprehensive analytical protocols and technical reports while maintaining high standards in health, safety, and lab operations.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• BSc degree in relevant biological sciences.
• Proven industry experience in a laboratory-based analytical position.
• Proficiency with UV-Vis, ELISA, HPLC, Karl Fischer, DLS.
• Understanding of, or experience working in, an analytical QC role may be beneficial.
