Job summary

ChampionX is seeking a Chemist to join the Aberdeen Analytical team for a 12-month temporary assignment. The role focuses on water analysis, including scaling ions and inhibitor residuals, supporting product-line groups within the Eastern Hemisphere RD&E team.

You will perform analyses (ICP/IC/HPLC), assist in method development, and contribute to technical report writing. Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are essential, with safety practices required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry (or related science).
• Good command of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform water analysis using techniques such as ICP, IC and HPLC.
• Assist senior team members with project-focused tasks and method development.
• Support Goods In with logging of samples and materials; maintain organises records.
