Job summary

LGC hosts the MHRA Laboratories at Guildford, delivering analytical chemistry testing for BPCRS and APIs. Join a team of scientists to analyse a wide range of samples using HPLC, GC, IR and UV techniques in a GOCO laboratory setting.

You will draft reports, validate data, and help maintain ISO/IEC 17025 quality while performing routine instrument maintenance and supporting senior staff on key projects to ensure public health protection.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or closely related field.
• Practical experience with at least two analytical techniques.
• Methodical, organised, and accurate laboratory approach.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; strong record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Draft analytical reports, methods and safety assessments.
• Run, interpret and validate analytical data.
• Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 quality system compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration and checks on equipment.
• Support Senior Analytical Chemists and wider lab operations.
