Job summary

Talentmark is recruiting an Analytical Chemist for a Pharmaceutical Services Company in the Central Belt Scotland. This is a permanent, site-based role with Mon-Fri daytime hours.

You will perform analysis of pharmaceuticals, raw materials and intermediates to cGMP, support method development and validation when required, and contribute to CAPA and QA documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related field required.
• Strong analytical laboratory skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with chromatography (HPLC/GC) and Waters Empower or CDS.
• Experience working to cGMP and compliance documentation.
• Attention to detail and clear communication of results.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of pharmaceuticals, raw materials, and intermediates to cGMP.
• Report experiments, results and conclusions in SOP-aligned format.
• Troubleshoot analytical problems and maintain equipment.
• Provide training to team members when necessary.
• Conduct root cause analysis and define CAPA actions.

The Role:

You will undertake analysis of pharmaceuticals, raw materials, and intermediates working to cGMP and be responsible for supporting aspects of method development and validation when required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of pharmaceuticals, raw materials, and intermediates to cGMP.


• Report all experimental undertakings, results and conclusions where required in standard format in line with SOP's/standard ways of working.


• Troubleshoot analytical problems and ensure equipment is maintained and clean and in good working order.


• Provide training to team members when necessary.


• Undertake root cause analysis and define CAPA actions when necessary.

Your Background:

• Educated to degree level in Chemistry or a related field.


• Strong Analytical Chemistry laboratory skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Knowledge/experience of chromatography techniques (HPLC/GC), Waters Empower or equivalent CDS experience or compendial testing.


• Experience of working to cGMP.


• Knowledge of QPulse QMS would be beneficial.


• Excellent attention to detail, communication and documentation skills.
