Job summary

The Oxford Health Company is seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist for its growing laboratory team in Oxfordshire. The role focuses on analytical testing across our supplements business, with emphasis on HPLC and applying robust method development and data interpretation skills.

You will work in a dynamic environment with ongoing support from TOHC experts, contributing to high-quality testing and rapid career development in analytical chemistry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or closely related subject.
  • 2+ years’ laboratory experience including sample preparation, standards prep, calibration and chromatographic data interpretation.
  • Hands-on HPLC testing experience is essential; troubleshooting experience desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping; eager to learn bespoke lab technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HPLC testing and chromato­graphic data interpretation.
  • Support testing of raw materials and finished products; review results for safety, compliance and quality.
  • Develop, refine or validate analytical methods for laboratory use.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure consistency between lab results and production.

We are looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist to join The Oxford Health Company’s growing laboratory team. This is a hands-on, fully supported role focused on analytical and laboratory testing across our fast-growing supplements business, with particular emphasis on HPLC testing, and the opportunity to further develop your skills and shape your career path with us.

  • Analytical Chemistry - Build on your experience in sample preparation, standards and calibration, HPLC testing, chromatographic data interpretation and clear documentation of results.
  • Testing & Quality - Work with our testing and quality teams to assess raw materials and finished products, support HPLC analysis, review results and ensure that every product meets rigorous safety, compliance and performance standards.
  • R&D & Method Development - Turn ideas into reliable analytical approaches, supporting formulation, stability work and the development or refinement of practical laboratory methods.
  • Manufacturing & Production - Get hands on with our manufacturing team, understanding how laboratory results, raw-material controls and in-process checks support the consistent production of high-quality supplements.
What We’e Looking For:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a closely related subject.
  • 2+ years’ laboratory experience, including sample preparation, preparation of standards, calibration and interpretation of chromatographic data.
  • Proven hands-on HPLC testing experience is essential, including method execution, sample analysis and chromatographic data interpretation; experience with HPLC troubleshooting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping and a willingness to learn bespoke laboratory technologies and processes.
  • Enthusiasm for health, wellness, and using science to make a positive impact.
