Emerald Group is seeking an experienced QA / Test Analyst to join our IT team on a hybrid basis in Manningtree. The role centers on hands-on manual testing (80–90%) and collaboration with developers, underwriters, and business analysts to test electronically traded insurance products and platform releases.

Responsibilities include test-case creation, execution, and defect tracking in Azure DevOps, along with SQL data verification and supporting UAT.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of manual testing experience within the UK Insurance market (MGA/Broker environment preferred).
• Proven background in product-based testing (testing rates, policy rules, question sets, and referral logic).
• Good hands-on SQL experience (T-SQL/MySQL) for database query and data verification.
• Experience managing test cases, work items, and defect tracking in Azure DevOps.
• Experience or exposure to broker platforms (e.g., Acturis) is highly beneficial.
• Exposure to API tools (e.g. Postman) or test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) is a bonus, though not required on day one.

In this role, your focus will be predominantly hands-on manual testing (80–90%), working closely with their development team, technical underwriters, and business analysts to test electronically traded insurance products and platform releases. From small BAU updates (e.g., adding discount rules) to full end-to-end broker product launches, you will take ownership of test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
