Who we are

LCM Partners is one of Europe’s leading alternative investment management firms with 26 years’ experience investing in private debt.

Established in 1998, the Group is responsible for managing over €120bn of loans as a specialist in the investment and management of performing and non-performing receivables with over 2,000 people in 14 offices across ten European countries. Specialising in the more granular end of the private credit markets, the firm acquires pools of loans from financial institutions via the LCM Credit Opportunities fund strategy (COPS) and provides new origination through its direct lending fund strategy, LCM Strategic Origination & Lending Opportunities (SOLO).

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Portfolio Valuations team, responsible for the regular production of the fund valuation models related to the Credit Opportunities (COPS) and Strategic Lending and Origination Opportunities (SOLO) strategies. The role will interact closely with our Investment Function including Portfolio Management as well as Fund Finance and Investor Relations.

What you’ll do

The Portfolio Valuations Associate will be involved in the following activities:

  • Maintain and enhance valuation models for LCM’s credit investments, in close collaboration with the Manager
  • Oversee the implementation of fund valuation policies to ensure consistency and accuracy in valuation processes
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to the Investment Committee and Valuations Committee, offering insights into investment performance and analysis
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality analytical reporting environment, utilizing both Excel and other reporting tools as required
  • Collaborate with the Investment Team to ensure that new investments are accurately valued and onboarded into the valuation models
  • Partner with Portfolio Management and Fund Finance teams to track and analyse portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with valuation policies and accounting requirements
What you'll bring
  • University degree in finance, accounting, investment analysis, financial management, or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services, with a strong foundation in investment valuation models and experience with NPLs and asset-backed loans
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with strong numeracy and mathematical abilities.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills to interact confidently at all organisational levels
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and handle high volumes of queries and demands
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of Python or programming skills is a plus
