Job summary

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) seeks an HR Data & Reporting Analyst to support decision-making through data visualization and analytics within HROD. The role collaborates with Business Partners and HR operations to deliver high-quality HR advisory services across the Bank.

The role emphasizes developing insights, reporting improvements, and robust data storytelling to guide people-related decisions in a multinational, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Here at EBRD we want to know things that will enable us to make ‘people related’ decisions with the greatest degree of confidence, driven by data. We want actionable insights accessible to decision makers (both business stakeholders and members of HROD) to help solve business problems.

Will work under supervision and guidance of the Principal, People Solutions & Advisory OR Associate Director ER, People Solutions & Advice and together with other team members, to support and provide operationally excellent HR advisory services across the Bank to line managers and staff.

Be a data domain expert and facilitate data informed decision making within EBRD’s HROD department. The role holder helps support decision makers by visualising data, analysing trends, applying statistics and finding insights using the Bank’s suite of business intelligence tools.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • With support from other team members (where needed) provides advice and guidance to:
    staff and managers or, in order to support and influence the business in the implementation of HR policies and procedures, escalates issues within the team as appropriate OR
    members of HROD on ER-relevant provisions of the Staff Handbook (SHB), procedures and processes.
  • Supports the successful delivery of HROD projects through active monitoring, updating of progress and reporting to project leads as necessary
  • Record-keeping to underpin sound administration of Bank personnel: Documenting and filing an accurate audit trail to clarify policy decisions and/or to document rationale for policy variations in the realms of reward and employee lifecycle events and/or case management. Ensuring adequate details are kept and filed correctly so that any future recollection of a decision is fully captured and easily retrievable

People Solutions & Advisory Team – specific:

  • Provides assistance and problem solving related to referred queries from line managers and staff at all levels, liaising with HR centres of expertise and HR Operations as necessary.
  • Supports and contributes to staff health and other sensitive employee relations activities and processes by executing defined activities, including arranging referrals, compiling scripts and supporting documents.
  • Coordinates and/or supports information sessions for line managers and staff on HR cyclical topics.
  • Monitors and reviews internal line manager and staff guides and processes, escalating changes to the relevant HROD team to ensure timely updates.
  • Manages relevant case referral and management system, ensuring required service standards.
  • Working collaboratively with team members, HR Operations, and other centres of expertise in order that the business receives a high quality service.
Employee Relations Team – specific
  • Develops and reviews internal ER guides on processes and procedures and ensures timeliness of relevant internal updates on ER-relevant intranet pages and Guides.
  • Coordinates training and information sessions with members of HROD, particularly related to HR cyclical activity and improving knowledge of ER related processes and procedures.
  • Manages ER-specific case reporting system, ensuring quality of the data and timeliness of reporting to MD HROD. Raises awareness and liaise with OGC on due dates set in the ARC directions.
  • Oversees medical absence reporting and provides advice on adherence to the medical leave processes, including referral to OH and managing working incapacity cases.
  • Manages relationships with ARC and AT Secretariats.
  • Manages existing contracts, acts as the primary contact and maintain effective working relationships with external providers, including Occupational Health Advisor, medical insurance provider (for Working Incapacity cases) and service providers for outplacement and mediation.
  • Undertakes ad hoc ER projects and activities as required.
Provide Business Stakeholders with Analysis and Insight
  • Preparing and analysing various HR metrics and KPIs and providing feedback to the People Solutions & Advisory and HR Business Partnering teams or the ER team.
  • From understanding of the data, the role holder will be expected to offer additional insights into trends for stakeholders.
  • Use statistical insights from employee data to make better people decisions.
  • Use data and information to provide insights into people issues and guide improved, evidence-based decision-making and fix problems at the root cause.
  • Ask the right questions when interrogating data to support meaningful insights for the Business, telling a relevant and compelling story.
  • Where gaps exist in the current HR reporting platforms, the Analyst will provide detailed accurate analysis for stakeholders.
Deliver Improvements to the HR Reporting Capability
  • Conduct design reviews with end users and consult data owners to iteratively improve reporting relevance and impact.
  • Responsible for understanding relevant bank processes and ways of working, both internal and external to HROD, and presenting appropriate reporting solutions.
  • Carry out user acceptance testing on behalf of HROD or business stakeholders when necessary.
  • Proactively identify gaps in the current HROD reporting platforms and highlight possible solutions.
  • Support team members to improve their data analytics capability, understanding of appropriate use of data and storytelling.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated HR Adviser or experience in an HR Operations role.
  • Degree in relevant discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of HR policies and guidelines, knowledge of HR cyclical activities preferred.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask and meet specific timelines.
  • Experience solving HR-related process problems and good attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, including ability to present to various audiences
  • Experience of working in a multi-national environment with a dispersed workforce - preferred.
  • Resilient, with proven ability to operate with discretion and without bias in a highly sensitive, risk mitigation environment.
  • Experience of working in a data and analytics environment.
  • Analytical orientation and data manipulation skills with an understanding of how data can be used to measure business outcomes and how data can be presented to inform and improve decision making.
  • Analytical skills to deliver insight on qualitative and quantitative organisational data to drive decision making.
