Laboratory Analyst

Are you interested in Nuclear Environmental Analysis? This could be your opportunity to excel as an Analyst, as well as playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Analyst to join our Environmental Science Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and committed Analyst to join our Nuclear Environmental Analysis team. As a member of our team, it is key that you are able to work efficiently and independently, as well as working well as part of a wider team. While you may be performing the same array of tests day to day, the projects you undertake will change, meaning no two days will be the same.

You will be required to (but are not limited to):

1. Prepare and analyse samples in line with standard operating procedures
2. Carry out data processing and verification
3. Carry out instrument operation, calibration and preventative maintenance
4. Schedule personal workload
5. Adhere to ISO17025 quality assurance

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

1. Excellent attention to detail, married to a right first time approach to work
2. Excellent communication and time management skills
3. Motivation to learn team based systems and take ownership of objectives
4. A degree in science, with a knowledge of radiochemical analysis is desirable

About Nuclear Environmental Analysis

Our Nuclear Analysis team focus on monitoring low level radiation sources for a diverse customer base, to ensure the safety of the surrounding environment. From routine testing, to more complex project work, our laboratory provides a wide range of radiochemical analytical solutions to our clients. With well-established technical expertise in the field, we hold comprehensive ISO17025 accreditation, and we take pride in our ability to meet the exacting quality standards that our clients require.
