Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Analyst II Medical Coder to support coding governance and global processes. The role focuses on ensuring consistent, accurate, and reproducible coding of clinical study data in alignment with J&J R&D guidelines.

You will contribute to thesaurus maintenance and dictionary encoding systems and interact with multiple functional teams. The position can be located in Maidenhead, UK or other posted locations, with hybrid or remote work considered case-by-case.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Data Management, Health, or Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in Pharma, CRO, or Biotech coding or related field.
• Proven knowledge of MedDRA and WHODrug thesauri; contribute to coding dictionaries.
• Experience in a multi-functional environment and adaptability.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data coding activities per Regulatory Authority and industry standards.
• Execute end-to-end coding processes including specifications and sign-off.
• Support delivery of accurate coding of clinical trial data to project timelines.
• Share knowledge of coding processes with cross-functional partners.
• Address coding inquiries and data coding issues across teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of coding tools and processes.
• Maintain global thesaurus and code lists; enhance dictionary encoding products.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making with senior support.
