Job description

OUR CLIENT is an ambitious, well-capitalised, pan-European specialist private equity real estate investment company. They have a proven track record of delivery within the real estate sector and focus on investment and asset management of commercial real estate across Europe. They seek to appoint a newly qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA) to join their notable Finance and Operations team. This is a very varied role working on commercial finance and fund accounting workstreams on their flagship funds, requiring an entrepreneurial, hard-working, and growth mindset.

THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS for the Analyst Fund Accounting position:
  1. Overseeing timely, accurate management accounts for SPVs and fund consolidation in local GAAP and US GAAP reporting.
  2. Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, income statements, and cash flow statements for SPVs.
  3. Managing the business cash flow and optimizing working capital requirements for each SPV.
  4. Liaising with external auditors to prepare statutory accounts.
  5. Managing relationships with account-holding banks and reporting on covenants.
  6. Managing budgets and forecasting.
  7. Debt covenant preparation.
  8. Implementing drawdowns / capital statements.
  9. Investor relations with limited partners on accounting and capital drawdowns.
  10. Assisting with portfolio management / returns analysis.
  11. Monitoring asset performance versus underwriting.
  12. Coordinating and liaising with external company directors to manage the administration of group entities.
  13. Implementing, reviewing, and improving financial processes and systems.
  14. Liaising with and preparing tax reporting (VAT, corporate) and liaising with tax consultants to structure vehicles and implement guidance.
  15. Paying bills and organizing accounts payables and receivables.
THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS for the Analyst Fund Accounting position:
  1. Newly qualified ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  2. 3-4 years accounting experience gained within the Real Estate or Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) sector, client-side or at an administrator.
  3. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience using property systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, etc.).
  4. Fluency in French, German, Dutch, or Italian would be an additional advantage.
  5. Highly motivated and resilient, with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative environments.
