About the Role:We seek a full-time analyst for Europe, specifically to cover western and northern Europe plus EU institutions and NATO. A working knowledge of one regional language in addition to English is strongly preferred, to complement deep knowledge on the politics and economy of at least two major European states. We expect a relevant MA or PhD (in politics, economics, international relations or similar) and preferably some years working in a similar role.
The core task is to deliver authoritative analysis of political, economic, business and social developments for the Oxford Analytica Daily Brief for a designated region in a timely, relevant and actionable way to clients in government, NGOs, multinational corporations and the financial sector.
You Will:commissions submissions for the firm’s flagship publication, the Daily Brief, and its associated products, with the guidance of regional heads and the director of analysis or a designated senior team member;
edits those submissions to meet Oxford Analytica’s standards of clarity, accuracy and relevance so that they are suitable for publication in the Daily brief and associated products;
writes executive summaries and other short analysis for Oxford Analytica products after passing probation, and once authorised by the Director of Analysis, proofs executive summaries and/or briefs prepared by colleagues for publication in the OADB;
manages and develops a network of expert external contributors and develops strong working relationships with regional academic specialists;
attends daily and participates actively in the morning conference (AMC);
keeps contributor spending within the specified budget;
participates in conference calls on their region of expertise and represents Oxford Analytica in engagements with clients, external audiences and the broadcast media;
contributes regional expertise to the Analysis division’s other products;
contributes regional expertise to the firm’s other departments; and
acts with high levels of integrity and initiative, fostering a collaborative, respectful and professional working environment
We expect a relevant MA or PhD (in politics, economics, international relations or similar) and preferably some years working in a similar role.
