Job description

Located in Jersey or London, you will be supporting the successful delivery of Wealth Management Europe's (“WME”) Data Governance capabilities and strategy, in accordance with local and enterprise data governance policies and procedures. You will be responsible for capturing metadata and lineage in Collibra, supporting the definition, implementation, and testing of data quality controls including creation and management of data quality dashboards.

What will you do?

  • Assist with the implementation of the WME data governance programme of work, in respect of RBC Enterprise policies and procedures.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of metadata within the Collibra Governance toolset, building out our Data Catalogue, Business Glossary, and Data Lineage for data assets across the organization, primarily critical data elements (“CDEs”).
  • Work with Data Owners and Stewards to ensure that governance objectives and roadmaps are understood, supported, and that activities in the business are tracking to plan.
  • Collaborate with the Data Quality team to ensure data quality assessments align with established standards and definitions within our Data Governance framework.
  • Gather and analyze large data sets working with business stakeholders to define data quality rules and measures.
  • Design operational data visualization dashboards for business stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage and track data issues and incidents, referring them to the Data Management & Quality team.
  • Identify and drive improvements in data quality by supporting root cause analysis of data issues.
  • Support the collation and publication of all required MI on data governance.
  • Manage WME Data Governance Connect and intranet pages.
  • Support business process mapping documentation work in Collibra.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts clearly to various stakeholders.

  • Logical understanding of data flow.
  • Experience writing advanced SQL and working with large relational databases.
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra).
  • Experience using software development tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps.
