This is an entry-level analyst position focused on research on the corporate sector that will likely suit a recent graduate at the start of their career.

InfluenceMap is a world-renowned non-profit think tank working on cutting-edge climate and sustainability issues. We are best known for the LobbyMap platform, which analyses corporate policy engagement activities on climate change and biodiversity loss. Our work has been featured in the media globally, used by hundreds of investors, and informed numerous climate campaigns. Other workstreams are the FinanceMap — the climate credentials of the financial sector, and the Carbon Majors platform - which tracks emissions from the worlds' largest polluters. With offices in London, New York, Tokyo, Seoul, and São Paulo, this is an opportunity to be part of a team of 70+ friendly and dynamic professionals and to help shape our culture as we continue to grow and evolve as an organization. You will also have the chance to work with our global network of partners to help develop and share our cutting-edge content. There will be opportunities for overseas travel to ensure cohesion with our global teams.

We are seeking a UK-based Analyst to conduct research on companies and industry associations, based on our LobbyMap methodology, which assesses the corporate sector on its advocacy on and engagement with government policy to address the climate and nature crises. This analysis will have an international scope but with a likely focus, in particular, on the European corporate sector. Our office is in London, but we will accept applications for remote-working in different parts of the country. Full training in our research methods and how to communicate our results effectively will be provided. Our approach is highly data-orientated and involves accuracy, consistency and great attention to detail. Following your training and fully grasping our assessment methodologies and organizational style/processes, you will have the opportunity to engage with and communicate our work to key stakeholders (investors, civil society groups, the media, companies) and make a real impact on the trajectory of the climate and nature agendas.
