Job description

Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work.

Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.

A feel for our culture:

To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth.

That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it.

We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.

But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

Does this sound like you?

You’re a strong communicator who thrives on working with stakeholders across the business to ensure risk is well understood, effectively managed and embedded into day-to-day decision making. You’re excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth tech led business where your contributions will directly influence how we manage risk and build resilience.

What you’ll do:

As a Business Risk & Controls Analyst, you’ll report into a Senior Business Risk & Controls Analyst and play a key role in embedding and evolving our risk management framework. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to ensure risks are identified, assessed and mitigated effectively, supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Support the delivery of core risk management processes such as Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Incident Management, Risk Reporting, among others.
  • Partner with stakeholders across functions to ensure risk is considered in decision-making and that controls are operating effectively.
  • Deliver meaningful risk insights through reporting and dashboards to support governance and drive action.
  • Help maintain and improve our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, ensuring data is accurate, accessible and actionable.
  • Contribute to a positive risk culture by supporting training, awareness campaigns and engagement with Risk Champions.
  • Assist in thematic reviews and deep dives to identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement.

What you’ll bring:

  • A passion for working in a scale-up environment with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in risk management, internal controls or compliance, ideally within a regulated fintech or financial services environment.
  • A foundational understanding of risk frameworks and processes (e.g. RCSA, KRIs, incident management).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with data and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL) to generate insights and support decision-making.
  • Familiarity with GRC platforms or a willingness to learn and champion their use across the business.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data analysis, statistical techniques and the ability to interpret and derive insights from complex datasets.

How we reward you:

At Flagstone, the benefits extend beyond false gifts like “fruit and snacks”. Instead, we invest in your health, wealth, and professional development. Here’s a selection of our benefits:

  • Hybrid working - Spend at least 1 day a week with your team in our collaborative London office

  • Mental wellbeing support – Access therapy and mental health sessions through Spill
