Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with a Senior Analyst on all aspects of the research process from idea generation to client communications.
  • Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work.
  • Write industry and company reports, including company initiations, from scratch.
  • Develop and maintain databases vital to our research products.
  • Develop strong industry knowledge and business judgment.
  • Explore key industry themes in collaboration with the Senior Analyst.
  • Cover multiple subsectors within the stock coverage.
  • Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies.
  • Participate in and contribute to client meetings and events.
  • Monitor and understand market, industry, and company-specific activities and relay insights to analysts.
  • Seek out new, valuable, and unusual sources of information.
  • Interact regularly with internal and external clients.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in analytical or financial markets roles; prior sell-side or buy-side equity research preferred.
  • Strong understanding of equity research, valuation, and financial markets, with a proven track record of high-quality analytical research, written reports, and communication skills.
  • Inquiring nature with logical thinking ability and clear, engaging communication of ideas.
  • Strong modeling and database skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality, evidence-based reports or projects.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to promote ideas and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking to generate new ideas and see business opportunities from novel perspectives.
  • Flexibility to adapt approaches based on shifting priorities or conditions.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in identifying and completing analysis with limited supervision.
