Job Description

As an Analyst/Associate, you'll be instrumental in first line of defence ESG transaction governance. Your work will ensure consistent application of sustainability-related processes across a wide range of corporate finance transactions. You'll collaborate across teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to the institution's net zero and sustainable finance objectives.



There is a language requirement for this role, Japanese language at business level proficiency is required.

  • Lead sustainability reviews for complex transactions, offering expert judgment and guidance.
  • Advise Front Office teams on ESG frameworks, due diligence, and sustainability processes.
  • Coordinate with regional and global stakeholders to align sustainability governance practices.
  • Enhance frameworks for net zero alignment and sustainable finance labelling.
  • Mentor junior team members and represent the team in working groups and forums.
  • Monitor emerging ESG trends and regulations to improve internal practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of governance tools and internal processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sustainability regulations and best practices.
  • Coordinate with external partners and organisations to advance sustainability objectives.
  • Assist in developing frameworks for measuring the impact of sustainability initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sustainability processes and practices.
