Job Description:

Managing private equity funds is an important component of Neuberger Berman’s business strategy. NB Private Equity has been an active and successful private equity investor since 1987, managing over $135 billion of investor commitments across various strategies.

Position Overview:

As the successful candidate, you will be part of the NB Secondaries Team based in London, focusing on a wide range of secondary private equity opportunities, including complex GP-led transactions and traditional LP interest acquisitions.

The NB Secondaries Team has a global presence and a broad investment mandate:

  • GP-led Secondaries – Initiated by the manager of the asset(s) to continue value creation via continuation funds while providing liquidity options to investors.
  • LP-led Secondaries – Invests in private equity funds by providing liquidity to investors who intend to sell their limited partner interests.

As part of a deal team, the Associate/Analyst will contribute to every aspect of our investment cycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Screening and conducting due diligence on secondary private equity investment opportunities.
  • Performing in-depth research and financial analysis on companies and assets.
  • Building detailed financial models of investment opportunities.
  • Interacting with external parties and other areas of the firm to enhance due diligence insights.
  • Assisting with the preparation of due diligence materials and investment committee memoranda.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the firm’s existing investments.
  • Supporting the private equity marketing team with investor relations.

Required qualifications include:

  • Approximately 2 years of experience within private equity or top-tier investment banking.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills and academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical abilities with knowledge of valuation techniques and corporate finance topics.
