Job summary

CIL is a global growth strategy consultancy with offices across the UK, US and Europe. The Analyst role is the first stage in a strategy consultant’s career, offering first-class training and exposure to a variety of projects in London.

You will test hypotheses, analyse data, and help draft clear outputs for inclusion in final reports, with some client-facing responsibilities and opportunities to coach new graduates after six months. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Excellent numeracy and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Languages are an advantage (French, German, Swedish, Dutch, Danish or Norwegian).
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Grasp new business models quickly, typically on diverse projects every 4–6 weeks.
• Test commercial hypotheses through primary and secondary research.
• Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis of industry data.
• Collaborate with project manager to refine hypotheses and produce concise final outputs.
• Present findings to clients when required to support recommendations.
• Coach new graduate intakes after six months.

The Analyst role

The Analyst role is the first stage in a strategy consultant’s career. It is a demanding job, but you will receive first class training from our successful consultants.

• Grasp new business models quickly, typically working on a different project every 4-6 weeks.
• Take responsibility for testing commercial hypotheses through collecting and interrogating primary and secondary research.
• Carry out rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis of industry and internal company datasets.
• Play a key role in debating and refining hypotheses with the project manager and project leader, drafting clear & concise output for inclusion in the final report once agreed.
• Get in front of clients and help present our findings – we firmly believe that early client exposure is a great way to learn and develop.
• Help coach new graduate intakes after six months.

Qualification criteria

• Outstanding numeracy, written and verbal communication skills.

• You must have achieved a grade 7 (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths.
• You must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a 2:1 (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree.
• Any languages are an advantage, as many of our projects have an international element. French, German, Swedish, Dutch, Danish or Norwegian are especially welcome.
