About the team

We have a new opportunity for an Analysis and AI Product Lead to join our Digital team, part of our Product and Innovation group.

It's an exciting time to join. We aim to transform how the industry delivers and maintains urban environments that benefit people and the planet, starting with our own business. We are building momentum with our bespoke web platform, Origin, designed to enable engineers and consultants to make smarter decisions using data and insights, from project design to real-world building performance data.

About the role

We are developing several products under the "Analysis" banner within the Origin ecosystem, including:

• Kaleidoscope: A machine-learning tool for faster early-stage design analysis
• SAM (Sustainability Analytical Model): A toolset for rapid simulation model creation and outputs

We seek a Product Lead with a broad background in ML, AI, simulation, analysis, data science, and research. Your experience in computation and machine learning within architecture, engineering, or construction, along with digital product management, will be crucial in transforming our approach to solving complex client challenges.

You will develop computational, Machine Learning, and AI features for the Origin platform, working with stakeholders to prioritize features and collaborating with software developers to deliver and deploy them. Your work will help create an ecosystem leveraging Hoare Lea's full expertise.

Collaborating with the Director for AI, you will lead efforts to harness Machine Learning and AI for advancements in computation and engineering, including researching generative AI to evolve the firm's Digital and AI capabilities.

In this role, you will:

• Develop new features and enhance existing products supporting analysis, calculations, simulations, and predictive modeling.
• Ensure proper prioritization and quality of feature delivery.
• Own and develop these capabilities effectively.
• Scale existing projects.
• Support academic engagement and R&D with higher education partners.

• Knowledge of statistical models and algorithms.
• Experience with simulation and analysis tools in the built environment.
