Job summary

IC Resources in Edinburgh seeks an experienced Analog IC Design Engineer to help build a new IC design team. The role blends hands-on analog design with leadership, project ownership, and team building in a hybrid setup (2–3 days in the office).

You will shape the team, influence design methodologies, and drive projects from concept to silicon while mentoring junior engineers and growing the group as the organization expands.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in analog IC design.
• Strong experience designing low-noise circuits.
• Experience across mixed-signal IC design.
• Background in consumer electronics or high-volume commercial products.
• Proven ability to take IC designs from concept through to silicon.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with history of delivering complex projects.
• Leadership experience or potential to lead a growing engineering team.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Analog IC Design Engineer to join a growing technology business in Edinburgh and play a key role in building a new IC Design team from the ground up. Hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the office) is the ideal with this role.

This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned engineer who wants to combine hands-on technical design with technical leadership, project ownership and team building. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the team, influence design methodologies and help establish a high-performing IC design function as the organisation continues to grow.

Working closely alongside the R&D Director, the Analog IC Design Lead will take ownership of analog IC design projects from initial concept and architecture through to implementation, verification and completion, while providing technical leadership to the wider team. As the team develops, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and grow junior and mid-level engineers, helping build the capability and culture of the new design group.

• Significant, hands-on experience in Analog IC Design
