Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Creativity: Innovation of assigned tasks and existing processes and/or products.
  2. Reliability: Be available to complete tasks as required by internal/external customer requirements.
  3. Communication: Communicate internally in the department or with individuals directly associated with assigned tasks (verbal and written).
  4. Occasional travel: Mainly for training purposes, customer support, or trade shows.
  5. Direction: Take verbal and/or written directions on tasks, training, or department/company policies.
  6. Reporting: Provide verbal and or written results, summary of tasks, or requests to various persons during the execution of tasks.
  7. Production: Produce the end product of requested tasks in the form of components, assemblies, drawings, data files, proposals, or reports.
  8. Customer Requirements: Collect, interpret, and clarify customer requirements.
  9. Design Modification: Modify existing designs to meet customer-provided requirements.
  10. Sales Support: Provide specific product sales support.
  11. Cost Targets: Establish and improve product cost targets.
  12. Product Claims: Evaluate product claims for both standard as well as modified designs.
  13. Product Introduction: Lead the introduction of standard products for distribution and manufacturing.
  14. Project Leadership: Lead projects or portions of projects.
  15. Training: Provide training to engineers.
  16. Manufacturing Support: Provide product assistance to manufacturing as requested.
  17. Activity Recording: Record daily activities.
  18. Training Tasks: Will be assigned tasks for training and development purposes.
  19. Other Duties: Other duties, as assigned to support company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
  2. Occasional physical demand of moving or rearranging files and file storage boxes, and/or product.
  3. Fast-paced office environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or the equivalent in appropriate education and experience as determined by management.
  2. Proficient with CAD software (Design & Manufacturing disciplines).
  3. Basic understanding of common manufacturing processes.
  4. Good oral and written skills.
  5. Ability to deal with internal and external customers tactfully and in a professional manner.
