Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking an Anaesthetic Practitioner/ODP (Band 5) for the theatre. This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week across Chelsea and Sutton theatres with flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC or HCPC at first level.
• Post-registration anaesthetic course recognised.
• Experience in anaesthetics.
• Mentorship/SSSA competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for theatre patients as scheduled with shift co-ordinator.
• As part of the theatre team, perform scrub and circulation following policy.
• Ensure safe use of complex theatre equipment and decontamination processes.
• Support senior staff and multidisciplinary team to maintain clinical standards.
• Take part in the theatre on-call rota and shift management.
• Contribute to CPD and professional development.
• Participate in governance activities and quality improvement.
