Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a committed Social Worker to join a leading private mental health hospital in the Manchester area. The hospital provides residential, day care, and outpatient services, and is part of a renowned UK healthcare provider.

Requirements include a social work degree, HCPC registration, and sound knowledge of mental health practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients, including risk assessments.
  2. Manage caseloads, considering clients' socio-economic circumstances.
  3. Maintain accurate records.
  4. Assist with safeguarding issues and liaise with statutory services.
  5. Support colleagues and relatives in understanding legislation and statutory provisions.
  6. Coordinate communication between relatives, agencies, and organizations regarding admissions, discharges, and long-term care.
  7. Provide training on safeguarding to staff (training provided).
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified practitioner with mental health experience.
  • Patient-centered care approach.
  • Experience in similar environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will earn between £32,500 and £36,013 per annum, DOE. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with benefits including:
