Job Description:

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Staff Nurse to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Arnold, Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers.

This hospital provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with the area's healthcare trust. They have a medium secure service on site for patients with a learning disability, and are developing other service types in the future.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a defined group of team members and contribute to their CPD, mandatory training, and appraisals.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patients' conditions and needs.
  • Provide high standards of care to people with mental illness and personality disorders.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships to enhance patient engagement.
  • Contribute to patient assessments, care planning, and monitoring progress.
  • Lead shifts and mentor student nurses and team members.
  • Follow all codes of conduct, standards, legislation, and promote ethical practice.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of care planning and clinical assessment tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and flexibility.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful Senior Staff Nurse will receive an annual salary of £37,992 – £40,455 DOE. Vacancies are available for both day and night shifts. Benefits include:

  • Sign-on bonus of £5,000 or an e-voucher for the Company Benefits portal.
  • Back pay for salary increases while awaiting PIN registration.
  • Relocation support, including accommodation or moving costs paid as a lump sum.
  • Moving allowance: up to £1,500 for less than 100 miles or up to £3,000 for more than 100 miles (repaid if leaving before probation).
