Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Psychologist at an exceptional mental health hospital in Surrey. The hospital offers acute mental health services and a 3-bedded step-down community ward supporting males of working age experiencing acute mental health episodes.

Requirements: Degree in Psychology and registration with the HCPC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to clients and families, and offer advice and consultation to colleagues and professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of the IROC service, including needs assessment and planning.
  • Support staff supervision and facilitate client-related work by team members.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff and stakeholders.
  • Support research and evaluation processes.
  • Adhere to Clinical Governance and operational policies, working autonomously as needed.
  • Maintain Continuing Professional Development to retain clinical registration.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Previous professional practice experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Additional expertise in DBT and CBT
  • Skills in individual and group therapy and program planning
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, especially for complex and sensitive information
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: £58,000 pro rata

Hours: 22.5 hours/week, permanent part-time
