Role Overview

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of AML / SAR Investigator to join our Legal team in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive investigations, including analyzing transaction data and open source research.
  2. Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Security to gather and analyze information.
  3. Draft timely, accurate, and well-written recommendations for Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs) in line with policies and local requirements.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive and organized case file.
  5. Escalate activities to Legal and Compliance for potential customer relationship closures or other actions.
  6. Support special AML or financial crimes projects.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in Investigations related to Correspondent Banking, Wire Transfers, Transaction Monitoring, and Anti-Money Laundering.
  • Knowledge of Tax Evasion, Market Abuse, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption investigations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a Graduate Degree in Law, Business, or Intelligence Studies is preferred.
  • Experience in AML/KYC/anti-fraud projects within financial institutions.
  • ACAMS certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in intelligence work in the private or public sector.
