Job description

Sewell Wallis is recruiting for a global firm in the heart of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This business operates in 40+ countries with over 50 offices worldwide. Due to expansion, they're looking for an Anti Money Laundering Analyst to join their team.

Role Details

This is a 24-month fixed-term contract role, offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Risk and Compliance. The position offers hybrid working.

Responsibilities

1. Work within the Monitoring Team, responsible for ongoing client database monitoring.
2. Ensure client due diligence is up to date, accurate, and compliant with AML and Counter Terrorist Financing regulations.
3. Assess risk profiles of existing clients and monitor for changes.
4. Liaise with Partners on client due diligence issues.
5. Run company and press searches.
6. Support the Deputy Money Laundering Officer with AML administration and client due diligence matters.
7. Assist with research projects and compliance with AML regulatory matters.

Candidate Requirements

1. Degree qualified and/or certified in KYC/Compliance, with experience in a professional services environment.
2. Knowledge of the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and the EU's 5th Money Laundering Directive.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
4. Strong analytical, research, and decision-making skills.
5. Practical, solution-oriented mindset.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Good time management and multitasking abilities.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Motivated team player with strong organizational skills.
10. Enthusiastic, positive, and committed.
