Job summary

The City of Doncaster Council is seeking an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) based at Tickhill Road Site, Balby, Doncaster. The role involves coordinating statutory assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983 and managing referrals across a 3-day rota including 18:30–07:00 shifts.

Salary is Grade 10 (£48,227-£52,414, pay award pending) with up to 16% All Inclusive Allowance (pro rata). Permanent, full-time position with excellent benefits and pension.

• Based at Tickhill Road Site, Tickhill Road, Balby, Doncaster, DN4 8QN.
• Salary details: Grade 10 - £48,227- £52,414 (pay award pending) plus an All Inclusive Allowance of up to 16% (pro rata).
• Contract Type: Permanent, Full time.
• Hours: 37 hours; rota covers 18:30-07:00, over three days in a seven day pattern.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate statutory assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983 and related duties.
• Manage referrals and requests for assessments under the MHA 1983.
• Work on a 3-day rota including evenings and weekends depending on service demand.
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes for adults with mental health needs.
