Job summary

Opus People Solutions Ltd seeks an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join a respected Mental Health Service in the West Midlands. The role focuses on safeguarding rights, promoting recovery, and delivering high-quality statutory mental health interventions within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Mental Health Act and related legislation.
• Ability to assess complex cases and make independent decisions.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with partners.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Mental Health Act assessments and act under the MHA 1983 (as amended).
• Make decisions on detention applications when appropriate.
• Ensure least restrictive and person-centred interventions.
• Collaborate with service users, families, carers and professionals.
• Conduct complex risk assessments and crisis planning.
• Provide guidance on Mental Health Act legislation and practice.
• Maintain accurate case records and participate in duty rotas.
