Job description

Amenity Tractor Driver – £30,000 DOE + Benefits

The Job:

We are seeking an experienced Amenity Tractor Driver to join our growing team. This role involves operating machinery for grassland maintenance, sports field upkeep, verti-draining, sand spreading, and land drainage projects. If you have a passion for outdoor work, hands-on machinery experience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Operating machinery for grassland maintenance, verti-draining, shockwave, and sports field maintenance
  2. Setting up and operating mowers, fertiliser spreaders, and sand spreaders
  3. Carrying out land drainage works using whizz wheel gravel hoppers
  4. Performing spraying, seed bed preparation, grass drilling, and overseeding
  5. Hedge cutting to a high standard for non-agricultural clients
  6. Operating Telehandlers for material handling and hauling products with tractors and trailers
  7. Agricultural contracting, including strimming, log processing, and operating 360-degree excavators
  8. Repair and maintenance of machinery

The Candidate:
  1. Telehandler qualification to NPORS standard, with relevant agricultural health and safety experience
  2. NPORS Tractor ticket is desirable
  3. Experience with laser levels and GPS steering/mapping technology is advantageous
  4. Strong mechanical skills for machinery repairs and maintenance
  5. Self-motivated and flexible, especially during busy periods
  6. Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
  7. Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
