Job description

Job Overview

The post holder will actively participate in the effective and efficient running of the AMD service. This will include audio typing of clinics, medical correspondence, and diary management with contact with patients, GPs, relatives, and carers. The post holder will also provide secretarial support to the consultancy team.

At all times, the post holder is expected to exercise discretion, sensitivity, and handle information confidentially and professionally.

Main duties of the job
  1. Prepare case notes for clinics according to the clinic prep procedure, ensuring all relevant patient documentation is available and complete for each appointment.
  2. Organize and securely store all patient case notes, and update the Medical Records Tracking System.
  3. File all patient-related documents, including letters, funding agreements, results, and reports, promptly and accurately in the patient’s case notes.
  4. Provide secretarial services to the consultancy team, including typing letters, booking appointments, filing, sending correspondence, and managing patient queries.
  5. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
