A regional emergency service provider is looking for an Ambulance Support Team Member to ensure that fleet vehicles are clean and ready for emergency responses. Responsibilities include deep cleaning, driving ambulances, and maintaining communication standards. Candidates must have at least 2 GCSEs and a full clean driving licence, with a C1 preferred. This full-time role is based in Leicester, offering training and the chance to support front line staff.
East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EMAS) invites applications for an Ambulance Support Team Member based at Goodwood Ambulance Station and around Leicestershire. The post holder will carry out ambulance cleaning and preparation duties to set infection control standards and ensure that vehicles are ready to respond to emergencies. The post holder will also be required to drive ambulances and other Trust vehicles between bases as part of their normal duties. The closing date is 13 October 2025.
The successful candidate will: perform deep cleaning of fleet vehicles to IPC standards; drive ambulances and other Trust vehicles between bases; communicate effectively in writing and verbally; work under pressure and meet deadlines; work as part of a team and on own initiative. Training will be provided. To be eligible, candidates should have 2 GCSEs (Grade C or above) or equivalent demonstrating the ability to apply knowledge in a structured way. A full driving licence with no more than 3 points for SP30 is required. A C1 driving licence would be an advantage or willingness to obtain within the probation period of employment.

The successful applicant has an exciting opportunity to join the Fleet Services Department which provides support to front line colleagues, ensuring highly maintained safe, well stocked, IPC compliant vehicles, and well maintained Medical Equipment to handle medical emergencies.
