We operate over 800 vehicles and support public and private healthcare institutions, delivering more than 2 million passenger movements annually.

We are seeking an Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) to join our team on a 4on 4off shift pattern, 42 hours per week, with varied start times from 05:00 to 12:00.

Job Purpose

Provide ambulance care, including assessment, treatment, and patient movement in non-emergency settings, ensuring safety, dignity, and compassion. Pass the ACA foundation training, including first aid and manual handling.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure vehicle and personal readiness for patient journeys.
  • Maintain communication with the Control team regarding availability and movements.
  • Transport patients safely, assisting clinicians as needed, following clinical guidelines and company policies.
  • Accurate record-keeping of patient movements, medical information, and incidents.
  • Drive relevant vehicle types, check and maintain vehicles, report defects.
  • Complete reports on incidents, accidents, and vehicle status.
  • Participate in training, professional development, and maintain high standards of conduct and appearance.
  • Ensure confidentiality and handle patient data in accordance with data protection laws.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and contribute to risk management.
Additional Duties
  • Supervise less experienced staff where appropriate.
  • Respond to major incidents and operate company equipment per procedures.
