Job summary

Scottish Ambulance Service in Inverness is seeking Trainee Care Assistants to provide high-quality care and safe transportation for non-emergency patients from home to hospital or clinic. The roles offer a mix of part-time and full-time shifts, with training and progression within the service.

The six-month training programme begins on appointment, followed by orientation at regional training centres and your allocated Ambulance Station.

Qualifications

• Evidence of successful study at SCQF Level 4 or above in Maths and English.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 4 penalty points.
• C1 on driving licence required at least 6 weeks before course start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and safe transportation for non-emergency patients from home to hospital or clinic.
• Work across varied shift times and may be based at different ambulance stations.
• Communicate effectively as part of a team and support vulnerable patients.
