UKEMS is seeking compassionate Ambulance Care Assistants to provide safe transportation for patients across Sheffield. This role offers paid induction training and a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development. Ambulance Care Assistant
A new position is available for this vacancy. To be considered, applicants must attend a 1-week Induction Training course. The dates will be confirmed later. The course runs from 9am to 5pm each day at a venue to be confirmed. Attendance is paid at £12.21 per hour. Once enough applicants are enrolled, the post will be closed.

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Holidays: 28 days per year (pro-rata)
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week. The service operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Initially, a zero-hours contract is offered. Applicants must be available for some weekends and public holidays.

The job
Our Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs) are caring, compassionate, and friendly, playing a key role in safe and comfortable patient transportation from/to hospitals or care facilities. Tasks include:
Driving ambulances and specialist vehicles
Providing reassurance and support to patients
Conducting patient and vehicle risk assessments
Using manual and mechanical handling skills for patient movement, tail lifts, and wheelchair systems
Communicating with control centers
Cleaning and restocking vehicles
Completing reports and documentation accurately
