Job summary

Confidential in Lincoln is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support the month-end close and drive financial accuracy. You will work with the Finance Manager to develop management accounting skills while studying toward an AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification with study support.

You’ll handle journals, accruals, reconciliations and analysis, with exposure to cashflow reporting and system improvements as you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts or finance roles and a desire to progress.
• Willingness to study toward an accounting qualification with study support.
• Role involves month-end close, journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and detail-oriented mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close and management information preparation.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Complete balance sheet and cash reconciliations.
• Investigate variances and ensure accurate financial information.
• Support cashflow reporting and financial analysis.
• Process supplier invoices and assist with payment runs.
• Maintain general ledger records and audit trails.
• Assist with year-end reporting and tax information.
• Collaborate with finance team to improve systems and processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate tasks and reduce manual work.
