Our commitment to providing a well-rounded education is further reflected in our strong focus on practical learning and the development of life skills.

About the Role:

  • Foster a creative and practical learning environment in the kitchen, encouraging students to explore diverse culinary techniques and cuisines.
  • Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in food education.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting teamwork and fostering a love of learning in the kitchen.
  • Play an active role in the department, including contributing to curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental meetings.
  • Participate in whole-school events and initiatives, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Food Technology Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and developing their culinary skills.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for food, cooking, and promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment in the kitchen.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • A willingness to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative department in a respected West London school.
  • A chance to make a real difference in the lives of students and foster their passion for food and healthy eating.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package (mention if applicable).
