About The Role

Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to join our Stansted Depot. The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Transport Depot and covering for the Transport Manager in their absence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, recognized for Operational, Business, and H&S excellence over the last two years.

The Transport Supervisor will work full time, Monday to Friday, 4:00am - 12:30pm, with varied hours and days in peak season.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Assist the transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function.
2. Ensure that the trunking operation runs smoothly during the evening.
3. Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with legal requirements.
4. Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required.
5. Assist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries.
6. Manage drivers to ensure compliance with driver hours and working time regulations, using recognized processes.
7. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses thoroughly when required.
8. Assist the training team with onboarding new drivers.
9. Support the Transport Manager and training team with driver recruitment.

About You

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience working within a transport office for multi-drop deliveries.
• Minimum of 1 year of team leader/management experience within a transport or logistics office.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
• Knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations.
• Knowledge of driver compliance.
• IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
• LGV Licence and CPC Card.
