About The Role

Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to join our Stansted Depot. The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, which has won numerous awards for Operational, Business, and H&S excellence over the last two years.

The Transport Supervisor will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 4:00 am - 12:30 pm, with varied hours and days during peak season.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Assist our transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function.
2. Ensure that the trunking operation runs smoothly throughout the evening.
3. Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements.
4. Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required.
5. Assist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries.
6. Manage drivers to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using recognized processes to ensure full compliance.
7. Thoroughly investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses when required.
8. Assist the training team with onboarding new drivers.
9. Support the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers.

About You

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience working within a transport office for multi-drop deliveries.
• Minimum of 1 year of team leader/management experience within a transport or logistics office.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
• Strong knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations.
• Strong knowledge of driver compliance.
• IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
• LGV Licence and CPC Card.
