Job summary

Technique Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Window Fabricator (Aluminium) for a Norwich-based site on a temporary to permanent basis. The role runs 39 hours per week, with shifts from 06:30 to 15:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:30 to 13:30 Fridays.

Salary is based on experience. The company specialises in aluminium fabrication for doors, windows and curtain walling, offering opportunities to join a growing team.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Window Fabricator.
• Experience with metal/UPVC or aluminium fabrication preferred.
• Window, door and curtain wall fabrication in other materials is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, and assembling aluminium and UPVC profiles to spec.
• Using hand tools, power tools and machinery to fabricate window units.
• Fitting hardware, gaskets, beads and seals to frames.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work orders.
• QC finished products to company standards.
• Assisting with loading, unloading and movement of materials.
• Keeping workstation clean, safe and organised; following safety procedures.

Hours of work: 39 hours per week fulltime on a temporary to permanent basis.

06.30 - 15.00 Monday - Thursday & 06.30 - 13.30 Friday

Hourly rate based on experience.

Our client specialises in the Aluminium Fabrication of doors/ windows/ curtain walling.

Key Responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, and assembling aluminium and UPVC profiles to spec
• Using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fabricate high-quality window and door units
• Fitting hardware, gaskets, beads, and seals to completed frames as required
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work orders
• QC finished products to ensure company standards are met and adhered to
• Assisting with loading, unloading, and movement of materials as directed.
• Keeping the workstation clean, safe, and organised throughout the working day
• Following all health & safety procedures and reporting any issues promptly
• Supporting general factory operations as required

Key Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Window Fabricator is essential
• Experience with metal/UPVC or aluminium fabrication preferred
• Window, Door, and Curtain Wall fabrication experience in other materials is essential
• CNC or similar machinery experience is advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Shows initiative and a strong work ethic
