SEMH Teacher Make a Difference Every Day
Location: Merton
Start Date: October Half Term
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: For teachers who hold QTS: £194.21 - £258.84. For Unqualified Teachers: £115.91 - £160 (depending on experience)

The Role

Deliver lessons across the curriculum with a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach
Support students aged with SEMH needs, some of whom may have additional diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, or PTSD.
Create a calm, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to meet individual student needs.
Contribute to a nurturing school culture where every young person is seen, heard, and supported

You Might Be
  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS), or Unqualified but with relevant experience e.g., youth worker, HLTA, learning mentor, or support worker
  • Someone with a genuine passion for inclusion and mental health
  • Experienced in working with vulnerable or challenging young people, ideally in a school or care setting
  • Calm under pressure, emotionally resilient, and creative in your approach to learning
